Our Mission
Since launching in late Spring 2011, our mission has been to engage, empower and inspire young professionals in Maryland to participate in philanthropic and leadership endeavors, and to build awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Maryland. We do this with a focus on networking, service and fundraising.

The Red Shoe Crew is a group of young professionals and students in the Baltimore, MD and surrounding area associated with the Ronald McDonald House Maryland. The group volunteers at the house, hosts networking and social events for its members, and raises money for the house.
The group concentrates its efforts in fundraising and volunteer service, and participation in the Red Shoe Crew events throughout the calendar year including the Crew’s signature event: the annual Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run & Walk.
Service opportunities are at the very core of the Red Shoe Crew. All Crew members are encouraged to raise important funds so Ronald McDonald House Maryland can continue to provide for the Ronald McDonald House Maryland children and their families, who the house their Home. In addition to fundraising, the Crew comprises some of Ronald McDonald House Maryland’s most enthusiastic volunteers and will be seen at the house often during mealtimes, or helping out at one of the many house volunteer opportunities (make sure to visit our Volunteer page to learn more!). Although there is no requirement for members to attend a specific number of volunteer events, longtime Crew members would agree that volunteering together is one of the best ways to connect with the mission of the house, the families staying there, and fellow Red Shoe members.
